Drive Shafts with No CV and Long Splines

! Please note that in the following descriptions, the vehicle model is not mentioned because the Drive Shaft Superstore can fit any drive shaft on any vehicle. If a certain transfer case yoke or differential yoke does not exist we build it. All drive shafts are possible given a minimum amount of space to require to install it.

Note that the options of long splines are not vehicle year/model dependent. They can be put on any drive shaft.

It is expected that the buyer has studied his drive shaft or requirements and know a little of what he wants. Our website is designed to inform the buyer what these drive shaft assemblies do and when they are used. On your order form, you will be asked some of the questions below, as applicable.

Example of what you should know:

  • What is your vehicle make/model/year?
  • What is your Transfer case? (look for a tag or ask your mechanic)
  • What are your differentials? (Dana44, Dana60, Corp 10, 12, 14..)
  • What are the working lengths? (see: How to measure)
  • How high is your lift?
  • Do you want high angle?

The general procedure is to select the drive shaft with the options you need, and then select the end yoke and/or flanges needed at the transfer case and differential. If you know what the differential is (i.e., Corporate 10 bolt, Dana 60, Dana 44, Dana 30,35 etc..) You will be asked these questions on the online order form when you make a purchase.

No CVs and Big U-joints
Many of our successful rock customers have installed a combination of the following drive shafts without a CV. When you have a CV installed in your drive shaft it should be for high speed performance or for severe angle. The CV becomes the weak link on a drive shaft. This kit eliminates the CV for rock buggies, leaving a very stout drive shaft made by Drive Shaft Superstore.

Remember that we have long splines the conventional method with our long slip yokes and stub that gives you 7” of WORKING travel. Working travel is the travel without the yoke falling out. This one will stretch 7 inches and it still has two inches inside. The standard in the industry is 3-4 inches of total travel.

Available in 1310 AND 1350. The 1350 yoke is a forged piece and is much stronger than the cast 1310. We can upgrade any differential to have 1350 and is recommended with the 1350 yoke.

Bronco II slip and stub replacement of 1986 to 1990 Bronco II two CV drive shaft. The drive shaft is made using spicer type u-joints and it works great. The drive shaft fits what you have with no modifications. If you lifted your Bronco II, you will need a Double Cardan CV. See Spicer Type below.

Angles up to 35 degrees can be achieved with a large u-joint such as a 1410. It is recommended that a 1410 at the transfer case be used which will yield about 35 degrees maximum. Without a CV you are sure to get vibrations.

If the yoke does not exist, we make it. All drive shafts are possible here at the Drive Shaft Superstore.
